Sexuality: GayBiographyJero is Ishgardian by birth, but was raised in Gridania. His conception was a "happy accident" as his parents put it. They never looked to have a child, were ill prepared to raise one, and at times seemed genuinely disinterested in the task, but made a point of keeping Jero clothed, fed, healthy, and happy.His dad ran an import shop that mostly specialized in importing La Noscean wines. His mom was an artist that specialized in landscape and portrait paintings. As Ishgard become increasingly isolationist, fundamentalist, and colder, it became equally difficult to run an import wine shop and Jero's parents decided to leave for the sunnier and more open city of Ul'dah. That decision was short lived due to his parents being sorely unaware of just how hot and dry the city was, not to mention the cost of dealing with the Syndicate in running a business. After about a year, they packed their bags and headed to Gridania.The forested city of the Shroud is where Jero would spend his childhood and young adult days. His dad established another wine shop and even began travelling to Othard for work and brought back libations of eastern origin. His mom would continue her art and filled both home and business with her work and picked up commissions for local residents.Jero was mostly responsible for raising himself. He spent his days wondering around the forests of the Shroud and became interested in botany, carpentry, astronomy, and other aspects of the natural world. Eventually he'd join Gridania's Gods' Quiver as an archer but would flunk out due to being too undisciplined and aloof.This would prove fortuitous though as it would lead to Jero coming across the Thavnarian Troupe Falsiam and its dedicated leader, Nashmeira. They were putting on a show in Bentbranch Meadows and Jero found himself enchanted by their graceful movements and nomadic lifestyle. Sensing his fascination, Nashmeira asked him to join the Troupe and offered to teach him the ways of Troupe Falsiam.Currently Jero lives in the Lavender Beds where he runs his own bar and bathhouse. He has a highlander boyfriend, Inna, who's absent more often than not. Much like his parents though, Jero figured how to make that sort of relationship work, and is happy with the mercurial nature with which Inna shows up in his life.
Work
Jero's work background is as eclectic as his upbringing. He's an accomplished carpenter and botanist, but also learned various other trades while traveling with Troupe Falsiam throughout Eorzea.Currently Jero is the proprietor of the Pine and Dango, a Kugane inspired tavern and bathhouse in the Lavender Beds. Alongside running the tavern, he still deals in crafted goods and the materials needed to make them.
Scion Adventures
Most of Jero's adventures would come from his time in Troupe Falsiam. While he was absolutely terrible as an archer, he excelled at the Thavnarian dance arts and most forms of healing and support.Eventually Jero would become involved with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn at the request of Nashmeira. From there he'd participate in multiple skirmishes against primals, the Garlean's, and wherever else he was needed. This would be his line of work for a few years before he realized that it wasn't quite the life for him and semi-retired to open the Pine and Dango. Now he offers his services to Tataru more on the level of procurement, delivery of goods, and assistant book keeping when necessary.
